25 Questions

So my 25th birthday is coming up and I thought it would be interesting to answer some questions that you might be wondering about. Maybe you're wondering what hair products I use, or what size shoes I wear, what my opinion is on the psychological debate of nature vs. nurture, or how much sleep I get a night. Maybe you aren't wondering anything at all... wah wah! In any case it will be fun! So if something's been on your mind there are a few ways you can submit questions: Here on the blog in the comments section, on Instagram, Facebook, or by email. I'll be taking questions from now until Saturday the 2nd! Only 25 will be answered so make your question a good one and see if it gets picked! I look forward to reading all your questions and sharing with you!

Vista Hermosa Floral

Hey Everyone! I am so excited to finally share this shoot I did with Melina Pizano! She is the sweetest and as you can see a super talented photographer, it was an honor to have her take my photos. Thanks again girl! For this shoot we took a little trip downtown to "Vista Hermosa park," it was gorgeous! A little LA tip: if you decide you want to go to DTLA for anything, go on a sunday. It was, dare I say, peacefully quiet. Okay, from locations onto this weeks' look, I've been kind of into this tied waist look...kind of? Okay okay maybe a little too much! When I get stuck on something I'm S.T.U.C.K. I'm the ultimate creature of habit, the kind that craves DQ ice cream cake for your birthday cause that's always the cake you had as a kid.. *cough cough hint hint* ...and it's bleeding into my fashion posts. Wah. Wah. I'll do better! What are you stuck on right now? Please tell me I'm not the only one! As always, thank you for following along this journey of mine.. my B-day is coming up and it's always a time of reflection for me, so get ready for all those thoughts... 50% say "boo!" 50% say "FINALLY!" and that's okay.

Santa Barbara Beach

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend! Nate and I had a small party at our place here in LA and made our way to Venice Beach to watch the fireworks. Pure magic. Watching fireworks with your toes in the sand is the bees knees. It's a bucket list item. Check! As it always happens we ended up super busy for the long weekend and Sunday we traveled to Santa Barbara for the day. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the perfect opportunity to wear one of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe. These pants from Shop 1802! They are the perfect fit, lightweight for summer, and the most adorable pattern. They will definitely be on repeat. Everything in their online store is so adorable and affordable, I pretty much want everything. Anyways, hope you all are having a great week and I'll see you back here on Friday for another post!

Wink Travels Day 2

Day 2  is actually day 4 of my travels.. there are no pictures of 2 & 3. Day 2 & day 3 I was huddled in bed with 103 fever, extremely sore throat & chills while everyone else was packing, cleaning, and organizing. I flew home to help with all those logistics only to be stuck in bed unable to stand for more than 30 minutes. Sick & helpless. (insert the worst feeling in the world) Luckily monday was moving day and by a stroke of luck my fever broke (to 100) and I was up on my feet. Right before we left it started pouring rain so naturally as all sick people should do, I went out and played. It actually felt really good, if you ever get a chance to stand in heavy warm rain its like magic.

Once it was over, we were off!

Finley- the ham

Yeah - I brought too much stuff and this is how I drove cross country. Sacrifices.

We drove a short distance and ended up in Sioux Falls, SD. I decided while at a rest stop we would try out a photo and ended up with 6 mosquito bites on my legs for 1 blurry photo. Worth it. Thanks again for following along, see you back here tomorrow for the next day of the trip!

Wink Travels Day 1

Hey Everyone!

So as some of you might have noticed (maybe you didn't), my travel blog posts are missing. No, this is not omission by mistake but rather a complete cluster F of spontaneous random situations that made it impossible to post until now. I'm a little ticked at the universe right now. Maybe its a little late but I am still going to share my trip with you.. so here it goes!
* I apologize in advance for some iphone photos = life

I started off my trip already a little sick. Slight fever a little sore throat, but I was so excited I decided to ignore my symptoms (and my mom's plea to go to urgent care). Recommendation: listen to your mom, she is most of the time, always right. Anyways, all went smoothly that night, the plane ride was great mostly because of this book I am reading, The road less traveled. The first line of the book is, "Life is difficult." Life is difficult PERIOD. YES! YES! it is! Finally someone said it! I actually nodded on the plane, like "yeah this is going to be great."Maybe some day I will talk about all my feelings connected with the topics in this book, maybe not. But IF you have time in your life this summer I would highly suggest it. It had my heart and mind on fire, taking notes, writing letters, introspection at its finest. Again, if you can, you should.

Moving on.. the next day I was feeling ultra motivated and excited about life. I went for a run in the morning around the cutest pond and spent the day/night with one of my greatest of greatest friends Courtney. We had so much fun in Minneapolis, it is such a big wonderful city. And soooo beautiful! I guess maybe I never noticed on the daily how LA is lacking in nature until I spent a summer day in Minnesota.

We checked out the sculpture garden at the walker art center during the day and stopped in the cutest green houses with amazing succulents! It was so beautiful and artsy and SO HOT. So hot you sweat just standing there. So hot you regret wearing a long sleeved chambray top...almost. After our outdoor adventures we had lunch at the Lowry. Delicious, and adorable! That is definitely one thing to mention about Minneapolis, there are tons of cute restaurants. Foodie heaven!

Succulents & White Toe Nails = yes please!

oops... it has bacon.. I got new ones and they were DELICIOUS

Court was the sweetest and even did a mini shoot with me. Cause that's what best friends do.. take a bunch of pictures of you even when you're both sweating/ suffocating. On a fashion note, ladies, the jean skirt is back! I know you have one hiding deep down in your closet from 7th grade! Dig it out!

It was truly the greatest day only to be followed by a quick downhill battle with all those spontaneous random, rather unfortunate situations I mentioned earlier.. but we will get to that. Tomorrow!
Thanks for reading along!
