Wink Travels Day 1

Hey Everyone!

So as some of you might have noticed (maybe you didn't), my travel blog posts are missing. No, this is not omission by mistake but rather a complete cluster F of spontaneous random situations that made it impossible to post until now. I'm a little ticked at the universe right now. Maybe its a little late but I am still going to share my trip with you.. so here it goes!
* I apologize in advance for some iphone photos = life

I started off my trip already a little sick. Slight fever a little sore throat, but I was so excited I decided to ignore my symptoms (and my mom's plea to go to urgent care). Recommendation: listen to your mom, she is most of the time, always right. Anyways, all went smoothly that night, the plane ride was great mostly because of this book I am reading, The road less traveled. The first line of the book is, "Life is difficult." Life is difficult PERIOD. YES! YES! it is! Finally someone said it! I actually nodded on the plane, like "yeah this is going to be great."Maybe some day I will talk about all my feelings connected with the topics in this book, maybe not. But IF you have time in your life this summer I would highly suggest it. It had my heart and mind on fire, taking notes, writing letters, introspection at its finest. Again, if you can, you should.

Moving on.. the next day I was feeling ultra motivated and excited about life. I went for a run in the morning around the cutest pond and spent the day/night with one of my greatest of greatest friends Courtney. We had so much fun in Minneapolis, it is such a big wonderful city. And soooo beautiful! I guess maybe I never noticed on the daily how LA is lacking in nature until I spent a summer day in Minnesota.

We checked out the sculpture garden at the walker art center during the day and stopped in the cutest green houses with amazing succulents! It was so beautiful and artsy and SO HOT. So hot you sweat just standing there. So hot you regret wearing a long sleeved chambray top...almost. After our outdoor adventures we had lunch at the Lowry. Delicious, and adorable! That is definitely one thing to mention about Minneapolis, there are tons of cute restaurants. Foodie heaven!

Succulents & White Toe Nails = yes please!

oops... it has bacon.. I got new ones and they were DELICIOUS

Court was the sweetest and even did a mini shoot with me. Cause that's what best friends do.. take a bunch of pictures of you even when you're both sweating/ suffocating. On a fashion note, ladies, the jean skirt is back! I know you have one hiding deep down in your closet from 7th grade! Dig it out!

It was truly the greatest day only to be followed by a quick downhill battle with all those spontaneous random, rather unfortunate situations I mentioned earlier.. but we will get to that. Tomorrow!
Thanks for reading along!
